MANAGING DIRECTOR

The Managing Director shares co-leadership responsibility of the theater with the Artistic Director (AD) and together they work to ensure programmatic excellence, operational integrity and to devise strategy and initiatives for institutional advancement and sustainability.


The Managing Director primarily leads, oversees, implements, and ensures the sustainability of ATMTC’s operations through fundraising, financial management, administration and communications. S/he is the chief operating officer and works directly with the Board of Directors.


The Managing Director helps to advance the relationship between the Theatre and various local, regional and national organizations, including government agencies and advocacy groups, community and local business groups, foundations and arts organizations.


The Managing Director/Artistic Director team presents the public face of Theatre and may be called upon to speak to private and public organizations and to the press. Both are expected to embody and be committed to the organizational values of Education, Creativity, Excellence, and Nurture.

DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

The Development Manager is responsible for organizing and implementing Development Department activities especially around Individual Giving and the donor database. The Development Manager will have primary responsibility for facilitating the organization's individual annual giving efforts, executing fundraising plans, and managing special events. The Development Manager will also contribute to developing the strategy for sustaining and growing the number of individual donors, the size of donations, with the goal of converting annual donors to major donors.


Supervised by the Managing Director, the Development Manager works hand-in-hand with the Institutional Giving Manager, the Artistic Director, the board of Directors, and liaises frequently across all departments. For the full description, click here.

 

WEEKEND/EVENING FRONT DESK STAFF NEEDED:
Adventure Theatre MTC is looking for responsible, organized, and friendly individuals to join our part-time ATMTC Academy front desk staff. This position serves as a frontline resource for the Academy and provides quality service to all individuals including students, teachers, parents, rentalsand guests. Scheduled hours would be on weekday evenings as well as Saturdays or Sundays in our Wintergreen Plaza, Rockville location. Duties include answering phones, greeting patrons in person, providing information about ATMTC programs upon request, assisting staff with administrative and promotional tasks as assigned, setting up/taking down rooms for rentals and performing closing duties of the Academy. BIRTHDAY PARTY HOSTS/HOSTESSES NEEDED:
ATMTC is looking for friendly people to work as birthday party hosts on Saturdays or Sundays. Responsibilities include setting up and cleaning up the birthday party room, greeting the parents and children, assisting the parents with the 1 hour birthday party, and escorting the party to and from the theatre. Applicants must be 18 years or older and be willing to submit a background check and finger prints.

HOUSE MANAGERS NEEDED:
ATMTC seeks house managers.  House Managers will make sure the lobby and theater are in proper order before the show begins, between shows, and at the end of the day.  The House Manager will communicate with the Box Office and Stage Manager to determine when to open the house, help patrons find a seat in the general admission theatre, and make sure rows are reserved for special parties.  During the show, they will work with the Box Office and the Stage Manager to coordinate late seating.  Dress code is business casual.
