Summer Camp- Glen Echo

Celebrating 35 years! Be a part of the musical theater world in a camp complete with dance, singing, acting and fun. Each workshop culminates in a performance for friends and family on Adventure Theatre MTC's main stage. Choose from 6 sessions throughout the summer. Space is limited. Please take a moment to read our FAQ, Class Policies and Cancellation Policy prior to registering. Either a $200 nonrefundable deposit or full payment (which includes a $200 nonrefundable deposit) is required at the time of registration. Balance due May 1st, 2013. A nonrefundable $14 fee is applied at the time of registration.

What to bring:

a pre-packed lunch that does not require refrigeration

their script/score (issued early in summer camp)

Note: On occasion, your child will bring a note home with them requesting that they bring additional personal items such as white tights, black shoes, pants, etc. for use as a costume piece. We will send you a confirmation letter with all of the details.


About Summer Musical Theater Camp

By taking part in this high-quality summer musical theater camp, your child will work alongside accomplished D.C. area theater professionals and teaching artists during daily rehearsals in dancing, singing and acting. With props and costumes, singing and scene-work, your child’s experience will culminate in a performance of a full-scale, youth-appropriate main stage show. Family and friends will see your child’s talents and hard work come to life on stage the last day of each session.

 

 

 

 

Daily Schedule

On an average day, the schedule is as follows:

-

9am: Students arrive

-

9:00-9:30am: physical and vocal warm ups, announcements

-

9:30am-10:30am: First rehearsal rotation (music, acting, choreography)

-

10:30-11:30am : Second rehearsal rotation (music, acting, choreography)

-

11:30am-12:30pm: Lunch outside and time on the playground

-

12:30pm-1:30pm: Third rehearsal rotation (music, acting, choreography)

-

1:30pm-2:30pm: Fourth rehearsal rotation (music, acting, choreography)

-

2:30pm – 3:00pm: Snack (provided) and break

-

3:00pm-3:45pm: Program wide activity (talent show, trunk show, etc.) or each group presenting to the others.

-

3:45pm-4:00pm: final announcements, etc.

 

Before and After Care at Glen Echo Park

7:30-8:45 am, M-F $30 per week, plus $5 registration fee.

For an additional fee of $30 per week, ATMTC offers extended hours to care for early arrivals.

Registered Before Care participants must be escorted by their parent/guardian directly to the Office Door starting at 7:30am. Children may not be dropped off any earlier than 7:30 am.

Before Care will only be available for enrollment by session, not by day or week.

All Before enrollment/registration fees are non-refundable.

-

Enrollment in Before Care MUST be completed online and at least 24 hours PRIOR to the first Monday you intend to leave your child in our care. No exceptions, as we need to have an accurate attendance list each week.
