Currently, ATMTC is in the process of implement Tessitura, a customer relationship management (CRM) system that will fundamentally change how we interact with patrons and conduct business. With support from the support of The Arts Humanities Council of Montgomery County, the Morris and Gwendolyn Cafritz Foundation, and others, ATMTC has raised all but $30,000 of the total $80,000 required for the project.

Tessitura Project

Tessitura is a CRM system designed specifically for performing arts organizations like ATMTC. It serves a wide variety functions benefitting both the patrons and the institution. These functions include selling tickets, managing class registrations, and tracking members and donors. Right now, these are performed by three different systems that are incompatible; this hampers our ability to provide the best programs and service possible to our constituents.

This new system, along with a corresponding, unified patron database, will allow ATMTC to get a more complete picture of each constituent as an individual, as well as that constituent’s total relationship with ATMTC. The institution will be able to better identify each patron’s interests and passions, and offer appropriate services. Tessitura will also vastly improve the experience of interacting with ATMTC online, whether through ticketing, class registrations, or mobile capability (which is not possible with our current system).

About ATMTC

Adventure Theatre MTC (ATMTC) is a professional children’s theater and musical theater Academy. This year, between its local productions, national and international tours, Academy classes, summer camps, in-school programming, and community outreach, ATMTC will reach approximately 70,000 unique individuals and provide nearly $40,000 in tuition assistance and theater ticket subsidies. Through plays and musicals for young audiences and acting, singing, and dancing classes at the Academy, ATMTC offers a wide variety of programs that allow children to explore and play through live theater, both as audience members and as artists themselves. Led by Producing Artistic Director Michael J. Bobbitt and Managing Director Janet Berry, ATMTC has grown from a community-based company into a nationally renowned Academy and professional theater for young audiences by hiring well-known regional artists, commissioning for new works, expanding Academy offerings, improving marketing efforts, and expanding community partnerships. ATMTC is the result of a 2012 merger between two well respected community organizations: Adventure Theatre and the Musical Theater Center.
