Rolly’s ordinary summer takes an extraordinary twist when he’s whisked back in time to the Age of Charlemagne! But her overprotective royal parents have other plans—thanks to a mysterious curse that threatens to plunge her into a century-long sleep. As Rolly and Aurora plot a daring escape to the modern world, secrets are revealed, destinies collide, and the past and present merge in an epic journey filled with courage, friendship, and a dash of magic. During the run of Sleeping Beauty: The Time Traveler, Adventure Theatre MTC is partnering with Stepping Stones Shelter to collect new bedding items for families transitioning from homelessness into permanent housing. Stepping Stones Shelter provides families with children the essentials they need to turn a house into a home, and bedding is one of their most consistent needs. From activists to athletes, artists and more, the musical features the stories of female trailblazers such as Harriet Tubman, Virginia Apgar, Ruby Bridges, Sally Ride, Florence Griffith Joyner, and Sonia Sotomayor.
