ATMTC Academy Student Productions follow the Maryland Fine Arts Standards providing a challenging outlet for students to develop the skills necessary to be successful, professional performers – including self-discipline, teamwork, problem solving, and self-confidence.
Over the course of this session, students will have daily technique training and rehearsals in Wintergreen Plaza, Rockville which will culminate in a full stage production on Adventure Theatre MTC’s professional stage in Glen Echo Park.

ABOUT THE PRODUCTION:
Be careful what you wish for, as Stephen Sondheim’s and James Lapine’s cockeyed fairytale comes to life in this adaptation of their groundbreaking, Tony Award-winning musical. Into the Woods JR. features all of your favorite characters — Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack (and his beanstalk) and the Witch — in this lyrically rich retelling of classic Brothers Grimm fables.
ABOUT THE DIRECTORS:
Perry Medlin (Director)
Cainan Greer (Music Director)Cainan Grier (he/him) is a jazz vocalist, pianist, music director, and educator based in the DC metro area. He is currently in rehearsal for Guy Jacobs in Blues for an Alabama Sky at Silver Spring Stage. Recently, he made his directorial debut with A Christmas Carol… More or Less and served as music director for Little Shop of Horrors, where he also voiced Audrey II.
An alumnus of Berklee College of Music, Cainan studied Klezmer, Yiddish, Flamenco, and various Latin styles, which shape his unique fusion of jazz, soul, and global influences. His creative theatrical credits include Assistant Music Director for Beauty and the Beast and The Addams Family at JCAT Miami, as well as sound design for The Miracle Worker.
Cainan is expanding his performance reach in the DMV, Philadelphia, and New York while preparing new music for 2025. He is thrilled to be joining the Adventure Theatre MTC family and looks forward to the exciting opportunities ahead!
ABOUT THE CHOREOGRAPHER:
Bryan Stopak
Bryan Stopak (he/him) is a multi-talented artist based in DC. His creative journey has taken him from the vibrant arts scene of New York City to the artistic hub of Philadelphia, where he earned his BFA in Directing from The University of The Arts. With a diverse skill set as a Choreographer, Designer, Director, Playwright, and Performer, Bryan has left his mark on the regional theater scene. Bryan was also a featured choreographer in the Capital Fringe Festival for “LIFE! A comedic opera in three acts.” Bryan‘s creative influence extends to the educational realm, as he has worked with numerous MCPS schools as a Choreographer, Designer, and Director. Currently, Bryan is channeling his dedication as a Pom coach at Magruder High School.
